Charities We Support
We support a wide range of Christian charitable organisations through our annual tithing. 10% of our income from giving is donated each year, and the organisations that we support are decided upon by our Church Council.
Below are the charities that we supported during 2013:
- Bethany Children’s Trust
- Christians Against Poverty (CAP)
- Mission Aviation Fellowship
- Prison Fellowship
- Open Doors UK
- Chelmsford CHESS
- Romans 1-11 Trust
- Chelmsford and District Evangelical Fellowship (CADEF)
- Chelmsford Foodbank
- Smiles Foundation
- Christian Mission Service
Church of Our Saviour has joined Acts 435, which is a way of giving to anyone in need in different parts of the country through participating churches. If there is a need, people can contribute to that need and the money will be channeled through the nearest local church.
An advocate from the church will meet with the person who needs help to check if they are genuine and if there are any other needs as well as an opportunity to share the Gospel. Our advocates are Alison Chamberlain & Jenny Cass. To find out more or if you want to give check out the website www.acts435.org.uk.
